It doesn't matter if you are involved in live action role playing, theater, or just want to improve your personal collection; you should always go for quality when it comes to medieval weapon replicas. The good news is that with all the options available online you can find replicas that are indistinguishable from the originals. Some of the most common medieval weapon replicas include swords, maces, flails, and armor.

Many of the replica swords which are available on the web are of the highest quality workmanship. Most often, though, the buyer will find that the manufacturer does not recommend the actual use of the swords. This suggestion should be taken very seriously since the swords can prove to be quite lethal.

When it comes to medieval swords, there are plenty of sizes and styles to choose from. With a little experience anyone can find the weapon that is right for them. Some of the most common types of medieval swords include the longsword, broadsword, and claymore.

The longsword was a popular choice among combatants because of the power that could be focused from the handle to the point. One of the most common of all the medieval weapons was the broadsword. This was standard issue for knights and was known for its versatility as a cut or thrust weapon. Finally the claymore swords, most popular in the 15th century, refers to the small basket-hilted weapons, or the large two handed swords popular in Scotland.

Another popular weapon category is flails. A flail is a handle with a chain and spiked ball attacked to the end. The main purpose of these weapons was to knock a rider off of his horse. They were also used to deliver very real damage to even the strongest armor.

You can also find some blunt versions of the flail which were often used in exhibition matches where everyone was supposed to walk away. A soldier would save the real thing for the battlefield. If you look hard enough, you can find either version for sale.

Don't forget the armor that adorned these fighters. No medieval knight or soldier was completely ready for battle until he was fully armored. You can find authentic sets of armor that includes all the helmets, gauntlets and shields you need to beautifully compliment your LARP or personal collection.

Italian blue armor is one of the most popular suits. This is the classic design most common in the world's finest collections and museums. Many of the highly sought-after shields include the Charlemagne, Richard Lionhearted, Black Prince, and Frederick Barbarossa. Most replicas are made of the finest steel and are ready to be worn or displayed, just be sure you find the highest quality replicas and they will last a lifetime.
